Yesterday, a customer contacted me via Twitter to ask me how to tie the ears back on her pen&thimble teething toy. I was going to take step-by-step pictures, but quickly realized that is why the nerd gods and goddesses created video recording on our phones. So I took a short silent video demonstrating how to tie the fabric ears onto the wooden ring and sent it to her.
But what about everyone else who wants to know how to reattach the fabric on their teething toys? And especially those who don’t have the inclination to contact me to ask?
I decided to make two demonstration videos available on YouTube (front and back view). I will link these videos to each teething ring listing so that customers can find the demonstration easily. They are also here:
I’m so excited to have these available, but having yet another social media site to keep track of is a little daunting.
So, for now I have a pen&thimble YouTube channel with two videos that are 17- and 21-seconds long. And I don’t anticipate much more than that for a while. But a YouTube channel?! Add that to the list of things I never thought I’d have..along with an Etsy shop, growing local business, and thriving Instagram account!
Oh! Bonus! Making a cameo is my 37-week baby belly and some rogue snips of thread atop it. So not professional, but we can overlook for now, right?
