Rainbow Hunters: Rainy Day Activity

It was a rainy day as my 4 year-old was coming off of a week-long cold that she mostly spent fighting from the couch. She deserved a fun activity, but I was all out of ideas. I asked you clever moms on Instagram and someone suggested a Scavenger Hunt. Genius! I got a little carried away, but it was soooo worth it!

My 4 year-old likes accessories, so in addition to a scavenger hunt “map,” I made a “Scavenger Sack” and a “Scavenger Scope.” Bonus, they were made of brown kraft paper so she could decorate them before the hunt!

I can’t wait to go on another hunt with her. She asked to do an outside scavenger hunt, so once mama is over the cold she gave me, we’ll be doing that! We made sure to save our scope and sack for the next hunt!

What are your favorite rainy day games? Have you tried a scavenger hunt with your preschooler?
