It’s my favorite time of the year! Farm Shares! Fresh local produce!

Food just feels more special when we pick it up at the farm. We have come to know the farmers at Brookfield Farm who have grown our food from greenhouse seeds to soil, through rainy days and hot patches. And each delicious bite reminds me of their work and what a gift this food is.
What are your favorite summer recipes? I let our share dictate the dinner plan last week…
Last week we picked up some spinach, and I made this flavor-packed sausage and spinach soup!
Local asparagus is in abundance, so I also made this one-sheet-pan lemon butter shrimp and asparagus … and added pasta because I love a carb!
And we also picked up some braising greens at the farm so I stirred them into these skillet pork chops until wilted and delicious.
Oh! And I made this compound butter on bread with the radishes we picked up. My 2 year-old and I devoured it! #butterlovers
All easy-peasy weekday meals packed with yum!
This week we have more spinach and braising greens and a bunch of radishes. I’m going to find some new week-night recipes in just a bit and I’ll let you know how they turn out!

And don’t forget! Whether you are at the farm or home, our placemats and napkins are the perfect pairing with good, healthful food! They also pair well with Friday take-out too!
